Here is a two owner 1998
Black/Black 6-speed Supra that we bought from the
original owner in stock form with 17k miles in 2002
and then sold to the 2nd local owner who has owned
it ever since.
The carfax report shows the car as only 1 owner, but
the second owner was was local and then later moved
to Portland. The car currently has been heavily
modified and has 27,900 miles on it.
This Supra has 1500 miles on a newly built motor by
TorqueFreaks and the RPS C/C clutch was rebuilt at
the same time. The engine has been run at the
minimum wastgate boost of 12-15lbs since the new
motor was installed.
We had an inspection performed by RRev last week
with a compression check, showing the engine has
been broken in with perfect/even compression across
all cylinders. RRev also tuned the AEM resolving a
cold start issue and the car was then driven from
Portland to Seattle and runs and drives great.

This Supra has had paint work done by both owners.
The first owner had about a 5mph front end collision
that was very minor. All repairs were done at a
Toyota Dealer and the invoice for repairs was around
$3500. Unfortunately the owner did not realize that
he may have been better off to have the hood and
fender repaired and instead he elected to have the
dealer replace these parts because he thought that
would be better. So the hood and passenger fenders
are the only missing vin tags.
The 2nd owner had an aftermarket hood on the car at
one time, which popped up and hit the top of the car
requiring paint work on the Targa top and roof--any
paint work on the roof also requires both rear
quarters, so those have paint work as well. The
paint work on the targa top is not the best quality
- there are fish eyes in it, etc.
Depending on how detailed someone is, the exterior
of this car is the weak point due to everything
outlined above and could use a good wet sand and
some things addressed. Prospective buyers can talk
to me and I'll be happy to review in detail. I don't
have time or the desire to do it so its being sold
as is.
The Interior is very clean and the car comes with
either the Whifbitz bumper pictured or the OEM
bumper with Greddy front lip.
Due to the paint work, etc. this Supra is being
priced at $49K, which we believe is a very
fair/aggressive price for a low mileage '98 with a
built motor.
